How to Spend Memorial Day Weekend: A Sloth’s Guide

Memorial Day Weekend means a lot of things – spring turning the page to summer, a quick vaca, a long weekend where you get an extra day to play Overwatch.

Whatever it means to you, Memorial Day is first and foremost meant to be a time of reflection. So to help you do that, we’ve created a guide on how to spend your Memorial Day Weekend inspired by the most sagely of lazy creatures: the Sloth.

Here’s how to chill out as hard as a sloth each day this Memorial Day Weekend:

Prepare yourself for the day, every day

Eh. Then realize this is overrated and crawl back into bed.

Do some yoga or pilates to relax and recharge at the same time

Pro-tip: Shavasana is the best pose…because it’s basically napping.

Stay away from stress…like politics.

More importantly, stay away from people who want to talk about politics…better yet, stay away from people in general, that’s just stressful.

Think about all the stuff you have to get done this weekend…

And plan accordingly. See above.

Maybe hang out with friends for a bit

Maybe they want to do something fun and outdoorsy…like watching Animal Planet while staying on the couch!

(Or just chill out by yourself – there are no rules)

Ain’t no time like introvert time.

But wherever you go this weekend, take your time

Life moves fast enough – take some time to walk somewhere instead of cabbing it, or just take a stroll in the (hopefully) nice weather. Or hey, if you’re feeling super ambitiously lazy, go for a relaxing hike! That’s maximum outdoorsiness for minimal effort.

Plan the rest of your day:

And repeat for the whole weekend and that sweet, sweet, extra day off!
