The Like, Most Totally Tubular Designs You’ll See Today

Let’s just take a second to remember a few things, like say, Fraggle Rock or Trapper Keepers. Hey, has anyone found Carmen Sandiego yet? Rumor has it she got rolled up in a popple, but it’s more likely she’s off chilling with Bill and Ted on their excellent adventure. If you haven’t guessed yet, we’re talking about the ‘80s, a like totally tubular decade, man. And get ready to wig out: all our new tees next week are ‘80s inspired. Yea, it’s radical! To get you guys psyched, we asked the artists behind next week’s tees to tell us why the ‘80s rocked their world. Read on to check out their answers, and stop in next week to snag their righteous designs!

“’80s Playlist”

In elementary school, back in the ‘80s, I got my first Walkman. At first I only listened to audio books for children, but then I accidentally got my fingers on Michael Jackson’s album, Thriller. From that day on I was infected with the 80’s music!

“WTF!?”

By far, the movies. From dark crystals & hoverboards to truffle shuffles and excellent adventures, ‘80s cinema had everything! Oh… and me being born. That was pretty cool too.

“Eaters Gonna Eat”

Back to the Future, Goonies, Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Chucky, and all the terror teen movies. Also, the music: Queen, and the Cure. The ‘80s was an awesome glam decade.

“Time Travelers”

Everything was much simpler, and as a kid, you made your own fun. Living through the generation of major changes in technology was awesome to see as well, but with that, I believe we have lost a part of ourselves and our creativity to dream and are only left with our memories of the past.

“Totally Rad”

I was born in the ‘80s, so all my childhood memories relate to the cultural movement that was happening at that time. The toys, the films and cartoons; everything felt surprisingly magical and new and colorful and amazing. Since we can’t go back in time (yet!), the best thing to do is to feel nostalgic about those happy old days. :)
