Alien, it has to be Alien. I still watch this at least once a month…it’s unbeatable on so many levels; the atmosphere, cinematography, malfunctioning androids, everything!”

I love a lot of sci-fi movies and books, I love spaceships, aliens and robots. But I think the best is without all of that stuff. For me, George Orwell’s 1984 is the best sci-fi book/movie.

My favorite sci-fi movie is a toss up between Blade Runner and Akira.  Please God never remake those movies! Favorite book is a toss up between “Hyperion” and “Snowcrash.”

I finally thought of what sci-fi movie is my favorite. That’s a tough question because science fiction is my favorite genre.

I came up with two because they both inspire my work still. First would be Metropolis (1927), because it’s still a relevant and inspiring movie in art and design. Tied would be Close Encounters of the Third Kind because I haven’t lost that childlike wonder (like Roy in the movie) when it comes to thinking of the possibility of life on other planets or in other galaxies.
