Dear Threadless, (THAT’S YOU!)
We’ve been hard at work over the last few months making some massive improvements under the hood to make shopping much, much easier!
We basically went through the entire Threadless shopping experience and made it better: site speed, search, product pages, cart, checkout, payment options, returns/exchanges, login. You name it. We’ve even added localized production & fulfillment starting with Europe.
Let’s go through it all in more detail…
Finding designs you love is easier than ever
The whole site is exponentially faster, especially search. Search is way better with more personalized results and easier artist discoverability. There are MILLIONS of designs on Threadless, each of them available on dozens of products. There’s close to TEN BILLION skus in our database o_O. Hit the command+k keyboard shortcut on any page and start searching for something (hopefully something weird). Results show up almost instantly, and the more you use the site, the better it gets at helping you find the things you love.
Product pages got a glow up, too. When you find a design you like you can easily see everything it’s available on, compare them, and decide what you want without having to dig around. Less waiting, more finding cool stuff.
We now ship from Europe

People have been buying from us all over the world since day one, but until now, that often meant paying in US dollars and waiting for packages to make their way from the USA.
That is changing! Today we support USD, EUR, and GBP. CAD, AUD, and BRL are coming soon, too. We’ve also expanded fulfillment within the EU and are making international pricing more transparent, including local taxes and VAT up front where we can, instead of surprising you at the door. And, of course, localized production/fulfillment means faster and cheaper shipping, too!
Checkout (and beyond) is a breeze
Go from your cart to placing your order all on one page. Much fewer steps, save your addresses, quickly select between shipping options, add coupons, etc. And we’ve added more ways to pay than ever Before: Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Buy Now Pay Later, etc. If you’ve used Shop Pay anywhere before it’s basically one tap and you’re done.
It’s never been faster to turn your cart into a package at your door.
And in those rare moments when there’s a problem… size is wrong, package is damaged, or something unexpected shows up instead… we’ve improved that too. Our new self-service return & exchange tools let you start the process directly from your order, complete with photos of the issue. Returning something shouldn’t require detective work. We’ve made it dead simple.
No more passwords!?
Threadless Accounts now use a passwordless login! Just enter your email, get a code, and you’re in. And once you’re in, there’s a lot of new stuff in there, too. As it relates to shopping, the new Orders page gives you a much better home base for keeping tabs on your Threadless stuff. You can see your order information and status, track packages, access past purchases, and start a return or exchange, all in one place.
Keeping this amazing community thriving is a labor of love :) The most important part of Threadless hasn’t changed: thousands of independent artists making the kind of funny, weird, beautiful, niche, clever, and occasionally impossible-to-explain art you won’t find just anywhere. We just made it a whole lot easier to find it, buy it, and keep track of it once you do.
We’re sitting on 25+ years of code. We completely ripped out the guts and put new ones in. We’re very excited to be able to share what we’ve built now! But if you do see anything funky, PLEASE please please let us know, we’d honestly rather hear it from you than find it ourselves at 2am.
