Threadless pays artists more than ever through an enhanced payment structure.
We’re stoked to continue making improvements to our Artist Earnings system to maximize the earning potential for artists! The system operates by paying artists the difference between every product’s base cost and sale price. For example, the base cost for a particular t-shirt style may be $18 with a full retail price set to $25. Every time an artist sells that specific t-shirt style at full price, they earn $7.
Check out these other earnings examples under this structure:
Style | Sale Price | Base Cost | Artist Earnings |
Regular T-shirt | $22 | $17 | $5 |
Premium T-shirt | $37 | $27 | $10 |
Zip-Up Hoody | $52 | $39 | $13 |
Phone Case | $30 | $25 | $5 |
18″ Art Print | $37 | $29 | $8 |
Our most important mission is to support artists globally to the best of our ability, and this new structure will have a massive impact on the earnings potential for every Threadless artist. We believe and hope this change will inspire artists to continue to create, submit, and share their next level, original designs that make Threadless… Threadless!
